Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach (Full‑Time) The position reports to the Head Men’s Basketball Coach. Responsibilities Recruiting and maintaining student‑athlete eligibility. Assisting with practice planning, equipment ordering and maintenance. Scouting and game preparation. Student‑athlete development and academic support. Organizing and implementing travel plans and ensuring compliance. Marketing and planning summer camps, fundraising, and other assigned duties. Identifying potential hires through work study. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree. One year of coaching or playing experience. Comprehensive understanding of NCAA Division II basketball operations, compliance, and regulations. Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive relationships with student‑athletes, staff, administrators, alumni, and community members. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree. Demonstrated coaching experience within a collegiate athletics program. Compensation & Benefits Annual salary: $40,560. FLSA exempt; not eligible for overtime. Comprehensive benefits package including shared premiums for health and dental insurance, retirement plan, life insurance, and other insurance options. After one year, free tuition for dependents in undergraduate programs for up to four years. Work Location Gunnison, Colorado.
