In this role you will be responsible for making thoughtful color choices regarding the lighting, environment, tone, and atmosphere of each assigned scene.Work closely with Art Director and/or Background Paint Lead to apply color, textures and details to approved background designsReference color keys established by Color Stylist to adhere to show style and guidelinesFurther the storytelling process using color, design and sense of lightAdhere to the production schedule provided by Line Producer to ensure cost effective, timely productionAdditional duties as assignedRequired Qualifications and SkillsAbility to align with style and sensibility of showAbility to translate reference into 2D artA portfolio demonstrating your ability to design and paint in a variety of stylesKnowledge of drawing software that includes Photoshop, Illustrator, Harmony and 3D technology, where applicablePositive attitude with the ability to be flexibleExcellent organizational, verbal, written, e-social skills and acumenEducationBachelor degree or equivalent work experienceJob LocationThis is a fully on-site role based in Glendale, CA.The pay rate for this role in California is $59.16 to $64.62 per hour, which follows the pay scale agreed upon in the Collective Bargaining Agreement. The base pay actually offered may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.
