Real Matter is hiring a full-time Licensed Customs Broker based in Florida.

We’re looking for someone who actually understands customs operations beyond just submitting entries. If you know how to keep freight moving, stay ahead of compliance issues, and handle food/perishable imports without everything becoming a delay or a customs hold, this role is for you.

• Preparing and submitting customs entries and PGA filings for U.S. imports and exports
• Classifying products under the correct HTS/HS codes
• Calculating duties, taxes, and fees accurately
• Ensuring compliance with CBP, FDA, USDA, and other applicable agencies
• Managing customs clearance from start to finish
• Coordinating with freight forwarders, warehouses, steamship lines, and carriers around South Florida
• Handling Power of Attorney documentation and representing the company with CBP
• Working closely with operations and customers to avoid delays, storage, demurrage, and compliance issues
  

• Active U.S. Customs Broker License required
• Minimum 3–5 years of practical customs brokerage and trade compliance experience
• Strong experience with food, frozen, perishable, or agricultural imports preferred
• Experience handling the full customs clearance cycle
• Strong understanding of FDA, USDA, CBP, and USMCA/FTA processes
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced logistics environment
• Comfortable working with customs software, TMS platforms, and Microsoft Office
