Join us.Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking a SeniorProject Manager to support our multi-disciplinary design team addressing the most challenging engineering tasks in power generation. AECOM's broad technical capabilities, global footprint and experience in executing large scale projects uniquely position us to lead in renewable, traditional steam, thermal power generation and advanced nuclear technologies.This includes being a part of the first-of-a-kind program with AECOM partners advancing the innovative stellarator technology to the world.For this role, AECOM offers the freedom and flexibility to work remotely and/or be located at a variety of Energy offices located in multiple locations across the United States.We seek a project professional able to manage the project lifecycle from the project basis of design stage through the issuance of deliverables, ensuring seamless coordination between internal and external stakeholders.This position requires a strong understanding of engineering design, interconnection, utility markets, and construction processes. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to lead matrixed design teams and manage client-approved engineering consultants.The successful candidate will:Responsible for the management of assigned projects; Function as the project manager / program managerTake ownership of internal project financials, staffing, legal coordination, and risk management.Facilitate planning and kickoff meetings to ensure alignment among all project stakeholders.Support projects through complete life cycle including the feasibility phase, preliminary and detailed design, issue-for-bid, construction, start-up, and commissioningFacilitate the design process, including conducting "page-turn design reviews" and equipment fabrication reviews at key project milestones (30%, 60%, and 100% design completion).Work closely with the technical delivery team (incl subcontractors) to confirm deliverables and services are being provided to exceed client’s satisfaction. This includes coordination with team members across the worldDeliver projects in accordance with the AECOM Quality Management System (QMS) processProposal support / capture leadership to support business development activitiesIdentify project opportunities early and facilitate go/no-go decisions, determine project fees, write proposals, prepare and lead client presentations, and negotiation of contractsClient development through existing contracts/relationships including managing key accounts and developing new accountsOccasional travel to client or project sitesLevel specific responsibilities:Responsible for the overall management administration to project and assists in establishing project specific objectives and policies.Provides management and guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies, and a primary liaison between AECOM and client interface.Oversees and ensures all facets of the project are delivered in accordance with design, budget and schedule through subordinate managers and supervisors.Responsible for administering the project from budgeting/schedule stage through procurement and contract closeout.
