About the Position

Job Title

Travel RN – Med Surg / Telemetry Short Stay (Nights, 4x12)

Schedule / Job Type

Key Responsibilities

Perform direct patient care activities for all age groups including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
Provide care on a mixed Medical Surgical and Telemetry unit serving adult patients (approximately 50% Medical / 50% Telemetry)
Maintain patient ratios of approximately 4–6:1 and utilize EPIC EMR for documentation
Float as needed to similar or lower acuity units
Function within the scope of nursing practice consistent with the Missouri Nurse Practice Act and established nursing guidelines

Required Qualifications

Current RN license; must be eligible for or currently hold licensure in the state of Missouri
Minimum 2 years of Telemetry nursing experience
BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
NIHSS certification required
Flu vaccination required (November 1 – April 1); declinations are not accepted
Must be available for a full week of day-shift orientation prior to beginning night shift

Preferred Experience / Skills

Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system
Strong team-oriented mindset with a focus on positive patient outcomes and superior communication skills
