Job Description

An opportunity for a skilled Radiation Therapist is available to work at a renowned Cancer Center in Strongsville, OH. This role involves delivering precise radiation therapy treatments while collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team including radiation oncologists, physicists, dosimetrists, nurses, and support staff. The position is a 13-week travel assignment, welcoming local candidates with applicable local fees.

Schedule / Hours

  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Some shifts may begin at 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM for morning quality assurance tasks
  • No weekends or on-call responsibilities required
Responsibilities / Duties
  • Administer radiation treatments as prescribed by radiation oncologists with a high degree of safety and accuracy
  • Participate in localizing tumors and treatment planning, using professional judgment and critical thinking
  • Manage patient care sensitively, addressing physical and emotional needs
  • Perform and review treatment records, ensure precise patient setup, and verify console settings before treatment
  • Assist with diagnostic CT scans and maintain documentation for quality assurance and treatment accuracy
  • Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare providers, referring complex questions to physicians
  • Maintain certifications, participate in educational development, and foster a collaborative clinical environment
Qualifications / Desired Experience
  • Minimum 1 year of Radiation Therapy experience required
  • Current Ohio Radiology License and BLS certification
  • AART certification preferred
  • Experience with Elekta equipment and HDR brachytherapy is highly advantageous
  • Proficiency in CT/Sim, IMPAC, Portal Vision/Viewstation, dose calculations, and billing procedures
