Job Description
Role Purpose
The Warehouse Supervisor is accountable for overseeing the daily receiving, processing, assembly, inspection, and shipment of materials within a warehouse environment. This role supports efficient warehouse operations by supervising team members, ensuring the accuracy and quality of all outgoing products, and maintaining compliance with company policies, operational standards, and customer requirements.
Core Functional Accountabilities
1. Warehouse Operations Supervision
Oversee and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, sorting, labeling, packaging, and preparing materials for shipment or internal use. Ensure workflows are executed safely, accurately, and in alignment with production schedules and operational priorities.
2. Team Supervision and Work Coordination
Direct and support warehouse employees by assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and ensuring adherence to established procedures. Provide guidance, training, and feedback to promote productivity, accountability, and consistent execution of responsibilities.
3. Kit Assembly Management
Supervise kit assembly processes to ensure materials are accurately selected, assembled, and prepared according to specifications. Verify completeness and accuracy of assembled kits to meet customer and production requirements.
4. Quality Control Oversight
Ensure all materials and finished products are inspected and verified for accuracy, condition, and compliance with quality standards. Address discrepancies, coordinate corrective actions, and maintain documentation to support quality assurance processes.
5. System Tracking and Inventory Support
Oversee the use of warehouse management systems, scanners, and documentation processes to track material movement and maintain accurate records. Support inventory accuracy through monitoring, verification, and participation in inventory control activities.
Oversee inventory control by ensuring accurate stock levels through cycle counts and system updates. Manage the proper receipt, storage, and tracking of materials, enforce organization standards like FIFO, and resolve discrepancies or damaged goods issues. Support audits, generate inventory reports, and coordinate with other teams to maintain optimal stock levels and operational efficiency.
6. Safety, Housekeeping, and Operational Support
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area. Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures, including the use of required personal protective equipment. Support general warehouse operations and assist with additional duties as needed.
