Hourly rate of $15-$16, based on experience Employment Part Time Position Entry-Level Position Overview The position of Weekend Office Assistant at Bread & Chocolate supports our work by staffing the office Saturdays and Sundays from morning through early afternoon. Primary tasks include, but are not limited to: Readying the third floor, conducting tours and helping guests who are here to prepare for their event. Organization and attention to detail are essential to this position. The ideal candidate has excellent language/communication skills, self-monitors well, has common sense, and can think creatively in the moment to solve problems. This position is expected to work 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, although the schedule varies depending on the events scheduled. Weekend Office Assistant must commit to working no less than 50% of the events scheduled, generally 2-5 times per month. Hours will likely be greater April – December and less January – March. Weekend Office Assistant must respond to an online poll and sign up for preferred shifts within a week. The schedule will be published by the Event Coordinator within one week. Weekend Office Assistant is required to go through training. Hourly rate of pay is $15.00-$16.00 and is determined based on experience. Responsibility Manage the office on Saturdays and Sundays Provide excellent customer service, including answering the telephone, greeting visitors, helping guests, monitoring email messages, etc. Conduct tours with enthusiasm, professionalism and extensive knowledge of Bread & Chocolate pricing, menus and venue information Attend to our dress code carefully Ensure bathrooms, lobby, elevator and other common areas are ready and stocked Prepare common areas by ensuring thermostats, cleanliness, and signage are correct Assist guests who are here to prepare for their events with decorating, ensuring they receive drinks and food in dressing rooms, monitoring that they are following policies, etc. Coordinate with other staff to ensure any urgent issues and concerns are resolved promptly Other responsibilities as assigned by the Event Coordinator To apply, please visit breadandchocolate.com/jobs or email your resume to Audra Bechtel at events@breadandchocolate.com.
