Job Description

As a Part Time Retail Store Associate at Office Depot, your part-time role is vital to our continued success in today's retail landscape. You'll engage with customers in a friendly and knowledgeable manner, creating a positive shopping experience while driving sales. As a Store Associate, you will actively connect with customers, addressing their needs by recommending the right products, services, and solutions to enhance their experience. Through enthusiasm and expertise, Store Associates will help us create and nurture a vibrant sales culture, enhancing our store's visual and merchandising standards, freight, and logistics activities, and prioritizing unparalleled client satisfaction. The Store Associate will support a customer-centric environment, engagement with the local community, all while contributing to a positive culture aligned with the Office Depot 5C values of Customer, Commitment, Change, Caring, and Creativity. In addition, as an entry level Store Associate, you will be trained in technology and print products/services, ensuring you're equipped with the knowledge to assist customers effectively. You will apply cutting-edge sales principles to create satisfying customer interactions, contributing to the growth of our business. The ideal Store Associate should be passionate about sales, delivering exceptional service, and driving operational excellence. The essential functions of this position may require you to consent to periodic comprehensive background checks conducted by a third-party. Primary Responsibilities: * Customer Centric Experience:

  • Supports a positive customer-centric experience by proactively
acknowledging and engaging every customer. * Utilizes and understands the selling program to promote the sale of the best solution as well as additional products and/or services. * Maintains awareness of planned advertisements, promotions, and sales and loyalty programs. * Store Operations Commitment:
  • Consistently maintains store and print department appearance to company
guidelines and keeps a neat, clean, well-stocked environment. * Adheres to all standards related to signage labeling and merchandise presentation. * Follows the established sorting and stocking guidelines and completes freight processes. * Ensures freight sorting area is organized and setup in accordance with guidelines. * Scans, investigates, and fills inventory lows and outs daily. * Print and Tech Expertise:
  • Works to continually develop personal selling skills and product knowledge
through sales and service tools provided which includes successful completion, at minimum, of Tech, Print, and other applicable training. * Continued education in these areas is expected, up to and including designated certifications, if required. * Sales Techniques:
  • Ensures compliance with company policies, procedures, and practices; and
supports the company’s loss prevention efforts. * Performs other duties as assigned. Education and Experience:
  • High School diploma or equivalent education preferred.
  • No previous experience required.
  • Must possess basic computer skills and the ability to use computers and
