Job Description

In this role, you will take ownership of the general ledger and month-end close processes, playing a crucial part in our financial reporting function. Your expertise will ensure that our financial data is accurate and timely, supporting confident decision-making across the organization. Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the end-to-end month-end close process, including preparation and posting of journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
  • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, promptly investigating and resolving discrepancies.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all accounts are substantiated and documented.
  • Support external audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and reconciliations.
  • Identify and implement improvements to the close process to reduce cycle time and increase accuracy.
  • Partner with leadership to ensure financial data is audit-ready and decision-ready at all times.
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls around the close and reporting cycle.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CA preferred.
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience with a clear focus on general ledger and month-end close.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP/accounting systems.
  • Strong command of Google Sheets and Excel.
  • Deep knowledge of GAAP, account reconciliation, and financial statement preparation.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage tight close deadlines without sacrificing accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Comfortable working independently in a fully remote, fast-paced startup environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CPA license or progress toward professional certification.
  • Exposure to AI tools or automated accounting workflows.
Work Terms:

Full-time remote position.

Compensation:

The national pay range for this position is $110, 000, $150, 000 USD annually. All employees are eligible for equity compensation, and performance-based bonuses may also be available, depending on the role and company policies.
